According to Christ in Matthew 15:9 "And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." We are worshipping God in truth when we follow the teachings/creeds of men.
According to Galatians 1:6-7 "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.". When you turn away from what the Bible teaches what are you turning to?
1- A gospel message different from the Apostles
2- A teaching/doctrine that leads one away from Christ.
Both 1 & 2
None of the above
According to Paul in Galatians 1:8 "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. " A gospel that is different from what Paul and the other apostles taught is ok so long as it's from a Reverend, Priest, or a Pastor.
According to what Paul said in Galatians 1:10 "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." What would happen if he taught other things because he wanted to please others?
He would no longer be a faithful servant of Christ
He would be doing what Christ did, Christ always wanted to please others.
